Taking the top of the Rock Band Guitar

Hi I needed to know how to take the top off of the rock band guitar, that piece that came separately originally. I want to ship it in the same box and I don't want to break it. Does anyone know how to easily remove it? Thanks

Was wondering this, as well. Hell, I couldn't even put the thing on. I saw it in two parts, left the room, came back and saw my brother had already put it on.

It's kind of a one-way clip. Once you snap it into place, it's nearly impossible to remove without taking apart your guitar (which will void your warranty).

I hope the warranty return shipping box is big enough to accomodate it...
