do you need a mic to play rockband

i brought a used copy of Rock bank 4 my kids but when they try to play it its telling me i need am mic to play and we have a guitar? do u need a mic 2 play rockband????????????

like i said in the first post, you need to navigate the menu with the guitar, not the xbox controller.

What guitar are you using? A GH3 Les Paul, an RB1 Strat, or an RB2 Strat? The GH3 Strat is identified as a controller, not a guitar in RB1, and thinks your trying to play as a singer.
