I'm looking for a band that wants to get serious about the game. Like competition-serious. Must be able to gold-star at least everything L5 and under, both solo and as a band.

Before joining, I'd also like to do a few test runs with another guitarist (or band-play if going for/with a singer) to see if it's what I'm looking for as well. So many people here have claimed to be good, only to have me blow them out of the water by like 50k points on a L4 song and it really pisses me off.

I can gold star everything bass-wise for sure. As far as guitar, you know my skill. And if you go 100% through a song and your opponent misses one note, of course it's going to end in a 50k difference, that's the nature of the game.

...

Ok, first off, the notes themselves are 25 points each. The multiplier goes up 10% for each note, meaning that it takes 10 notes to go from 1x to 2x and so on. Also meaning that at 4x, each note is 100 points.

If you both have a combo, and one person drops a note, even during a solo, and just as said person drops the note, the other goes into overdrive (with a standard half-bar activation) to hit 8x, by the time overdrive was over, and the player got back up to 4x (with all notes being 4th beats), in addition to a standard 10,000-point bonus for a Perfect Solo as opposed to a 7.5k Awesome Solo, that would only be an approximate 7k MAXIMUM point difference between the two players (assuming they were all hitting single notes the entire time), with the lower player's overdrive ready to be used at any time (giving the other player a chance to get within about a 2k difference by the end).

It's not hard to understand the mechanics of the game.

I understand the mechanics of the game, but rebuilding a multiplier takes time, and let's say that one note is in the middle of an overdrive phrase... that completely changes the nature of the beast.

May I suggest you put the calculator down and go learn a few real chords. There's alot more money and respect to be gained with a real band. This is a GAME after all.

I have, I can already play guitar. There's no band opportunities in my city. And I didn't use a calculator, I added that up on the spot. Because I know math. It does NOT take major time to rebuild a multiplier unless you miss an entire stream.

And stop sending me multiple invites to play. I'm in the middle of a damn song, I'm not gonna drop out of a game just because you're impatient. As soon as the song is over, I quit and go to the invite screen to see 4-6 invites from you, I try to join each one and they're all closed because you left before I had a chance to do anything.

Right on that you play guitar. Sorry you live in bum%$#@ nowhere. As far as the invites go, sorry, I wasn't aware that the game would stack invites. Half the time i dont even realize i got a friend invite from someone, so I send it at least twice to make sure they notice. You must be playing the longer songs because I tend to wait quite some time for members, but I can't wait forever because people get impatient and drop out.

maybe, just maybe if you asked a little nicer and lost some of the I'm superior attitude then you might find some people more willing to join you. I am sure most people play for fun and everyone drops notes now and again
