i dont know if it was necessarily a low blow. it's true seeing that you cant even have a complete band on the ps3 version. i also have the ps3 version, but a friend also has the ps3 version so we can play as a 4-piece band...until the strats give out.

It's a fact that besides the Strat no other guitars work with the Ps3 version of Rockband. He just said the truth, if they had bought the PS3 version, they would have no guitars to play with.

Dunno about you guys, but the lack of an official response from Harmonix about the PS3 guitar issue is what's getting to me most of all.

Are they even working on compatibility? Is it something they're looking into? Can we expect a patch? Is it a priority?

If the answer's no, fine. At least we'll know the deal, so we can either accept that this is the way it is or we can consider migrating to the 360.

I think HMX can't do anything. They made the game open standart, but Activision made their guitars different, at least the PS3 guitars, and that's why they don't work.
So, PS3 players probably have to wait until the Strat is sold seperatly.

I've actually been to the flat earth society forums and such. Interesting fantasy land they've constructed, but nonetheless to the rest of real, modern society, it's nothing but stating a fact.

Exactly. The fact is, the PA guys LOVE Harmonix, which is why Rock Band was playable at PAX. The fact that they are disappointed is huge.

Every PS3 owner (which I am one) agree with me and the ones who don't are 360 owners who can't understand our situation. Maybe a reverse-flame war? Fact is, they mention they're still playing because they have Les Paul guitars. With PS3 versions they would be screwed. Everyone else seem to have gotten it.
