I was going through the list of Harmonix songs and I noticed that there were a few artists that made the cut before but aren't in Rock Band. I didn't include every artist or anything because the have addressed some of the artists such as the romantics are suing them and all of the country songs have been addressed as well so Karaoke Revolution CMT edition was pointless to include. I forgot that they got a Beatles track already too with Twist and Shout. The fact that they got them before gives me hope for the DLC. I know that any of these being included before doesn't mean they can and/or will make it happen again.

Honestly they got Jimi Hendrix for GH1. The Jimi Hendrix experience would be amazing on all instruments and almost everyon agrees that they would like to play hendrix. You could buy it complete with an LSD headband.

Barenaked Ladies should definitely be considered, even though they're somewhere between a Rock Band and a Pop Band. One Week would probably be quite a challenge for everyone, and plenty of other popular songs available. Plus they're pretty progressive with their music-rights and certainly get it that times have changed with music licensing. Last album they sold split master tracks of 5 songs for ~$3 each so that fans could remix the songs themselves. That $3 got you about 12 separate tracks of lead vocals, backup vocals, lead guitars, drums, bass, keyboard, etc. They then had a contest where they picked the best remixes to put on a CD to sell for charity.
For others on that list, our house would certainly rock out to Oingo Boingo, No Doubt or even Elvis. And while I'm wishing... will through out a thought for a Talking Heads 3 pack of Burning Down the House, Life During Wartime and Pyscho Killer.

Yeah I meant to remove them from the list. I added all the bands in all the games and then I tried to remove the repeats and Blue oyster cult slipped through the cracks.

There is a lot of great bands on that list. Put them all in. As many songs as they can get.
But what I really want is Guns N Roses.
