weird drum timing?

My problem isn't that my drums don't work, it's that they seem to be slightly ahead of the notes on the TV. I have to anticipate the notes for them to be counted; if I hit them when my ear tells me they're on beat, the game thinks they're missed. It's as if I were playing guitar on a lagged TV.

However, I have LCD TV selected and the guitar plays just fine -- no lag at all. Mic works fine without lag as well -- it's just the drums.

Any suggestions?

Just to be safe, I ordered a warranty replacement for the drums. I don't think they're the problem, but it's worth checking.
