Drumkit headset not working no sound, should it work?

Has anyone got the headset working with the drums so you can play and chat
over xbox live like with the guitar? I get no sound at all thru the drum to headset.

What drum headset do you speak of? I didn't know there was a place to put a headset on the drums. Is this just an Xbox 360 thing?

I was having the same problem. Did you use the adapter thingy that came with Rock Band? Even after using that, I still can't get the XBox headset to work with the drums.

Funny thing is, I plugged in a cheap Verizon cell phone headset into the drumkit and that works great.

I have the PS3 version and am not aware of a headset jack on the drum kit. I'm guessing it's an xbox only type situation, but would like to get confirmation on that.

You really have to jam it in there....(....that's what she said)

Seriously, jam that cord into your headset and clip it on. It should work then.

Yeah, i'm having problems getting it to work, as well.

I have tried jamming the female end into the Xbox male end as hard as possible but that doesn't seem to work. Also, i've twisted it around (the plug it self that touches the Xbox live headset) and there is a point where I can actually hear them on the headset but i'm still unable to talk to anyone.

Has this been posted on the Help/Troubleshooting forum, yet?

Edit: Yes, this is regarding the Xbox 360 Drum Set. There is a small hole near the bottom side of where the d-pad is located that is there for your headset.

I too am having this issue on my Xbox Drum Set. It works great on the guitar and I have ensured the connections are secured. I guess we should post it in the help forum.

i was having this issue but it seems that if my mic is plugged in before i go to ''online'' mode then it works . the mic plugs into a little hole in front/middle of the drum set. you'll see it . the guitar mic was hard to find also.
