Drum Question (problem)

So i went and read some threads after using the search function, and I found a bunch of stuff on lag, but what if when i hit it, it just doesn't register at all. Like I cannot do fast fills, because anytime i start striking the drum heads in very quick succession to do a snare roll or just to jam out during the "jam" sections, it just will not register at all. Any other time it seems to work fine.


I find though, that if i tap the drum head with my fingers, it works a lot better in registering fast hits...but it just wont register with the sticks. It's not that it wont register a proper drum roll. I've been playing actual drums for 6 years, i know how to hit fast. It just doesn't even make a sound period.

Are my drums just busted or what?

for clarification when i say roll i dont mean what the drumline does in high school band, i just mean playing really fast back and forth. Also, i'm using a regular old school TV. Nothing high def.

not quite sure but it sounds like they are defective, you can call ea though who can tell you if they are or not and help you set up for a replacement

I have the same problem with my red pad. I am not a drummer IRL and I can't do fast rolls but even doing my relatively slow rolls, the red simple stops reading the hits if its going fast. I have heard a lot of people having the same problem. I'm going to wait a month to request a replacement. Hopefully they make a better set by then.

I have the same problem with the yellow. Every once in a while it just stops registering through a whole section of a song. And it doesn't even have to be very fast.

Also the red misses a register about 5-10% of the time, which makes it very hard to get any 'overdrive', let alone a 4 or 5 star on a song.

I have the same problem but i found out something really interesting. I can play real rolls and it dosent hit every note. but i got my dad to press dow the red pad so tose holes tat are a circle aretn shwoing and it works everytime. so if you duct tape the side down it should work fine

I have the exact same problem, and am currently waiting for my repacement to arrive. My set is so bad that when trying to beat Don't Fear the Reaper on Hard, when they have the repeated red notes, I actually had to pause, and turn on lefty flip so it would make you hit the green pad instead.
