I was playing yesterday and I heard a small snap, then I saw my wammy bar resting on the body of the guitar... you know how they are elevated by themselves? Mine now won't stay up. I still works don't get me wrong I just want to know if this has happened to you

Sounds like the spring snapped. Time to RMA...

mine still has spring but it actually doesnt work. It feels like it always did but I can't bend notes like I could before. When I shake the guitar I can hear a rattle so something is broken. WHAT JUNK.

My wammy works fine, unlike my Xplorer's, which is suffering from what you describe.
As for those of you talking about a rattling, that is not because it is broken, that is part of a motion sensor, I beleive. My guitar has that sound but the wammy works fine.

i had the same problem with the xplorer guitar as well. and its not a motion sensor. its actually a small spring in the guitar that holds the whammy bar up. ive opened up the xplorer guitar and looked. prtty disappointing quality.

I don't mind it, I mean I sing and play at the same time so I hardly use it.... just the principal of the thing!

It's an easy fix if you don't mind opening your guitar and voiding the warranty. The spring simply snapped. Well you don't even have to open it if you want to put a rubber band on the outside of the guitar. Here is a YouTube video on how to do each fix:

If you do not want to use a rubber band and still use the spring you can. If it snapped at the hook simply get a pair of needle nose pliers and bend the next ring on the coil to form a new hook. The coil goes between two plastic hooks. If you watch the video and the part where he places the rubber bands inside the controller it is near there. It is not the part that the rubber band is placed around, but on the piece of plastic next to it. In the video it's on the bottom side of the screen. Hope that helps.

Oh, thanks. I'm surprised I didnt' find this trick before.
All it took was a rubber band to turn my broken xplorer into a suitable RB bass guitar.

Don't void your warranty. Just use a rubber band. What happens if something else breaks and your warranty is void because of that? It would suck.
But yea, if you hear rattling, that's a piece of, or the entire spring shaking around in your guitar. Same thing happened to me.
