i bought the rb2 drum kit for the wii. i cant get the wii to recognize it. your supposed to hold the blue drum button till it flashes but it just stays solid. what is going on???

You're missing a step. Please look at the comprehensive Wii RB2 setup guide, particularly STEP 17.
17. To connect the drums to the Wii you will need to turn on the drums using the switch on the bottom of the pads. Press the drum icon button until it flashes blue. Press and hold the sync button on the dongle and then press and hold the sync button on the underside of the drum pads. The Wii will then assign the drums to one of the open controller profiles and you can start wailing.

i did that. as soon as i switch the drum set to the "on" position the blue drum icon light automatically comes on. when i push it it does nothing but stay a steady blue light.

Wow I'm dumb. Try this andrew
I used a wii remote to start the game. Soon as the game started up the drums linked by themselves.
God I feel dumb

But are you pressing the silver sync button? Did you look at the link I sent to you?
