I can see it now...
CAMBRIDGE, MA - November 27 2007
Harmonix Music Systems, creators of the best-selling Guitar Hero franchise, today announced Rock Band: Bang Camaro Edition, a new bundle of the phenomenally-successful Rock Band video game. Featuring an electronic drum set controller, three wireless guitars and fifteen microphones, the Rock Band: Bang Camaro Edition also includes every song from Bang Camaro’s self-titled album, letting you experience Rock Band like never before.
“We’re really pleased that Harmonix will allow Rock Band gamers out there to experience what it’s like to be a part of our dude choir,” said Alex Necochea, cofounder of Bang Camaro. “The fact that you can grab eighteen of your friends and rock out to our songs in the comfort of your own home is really an honor, and a testament to how much Rock Band brings people together.”
Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos added, “We thought we could enhance the Rock Band multiplayer experience by adding in another guitar and fourteen microphones. The whole Bang Camaro band setup fell right in line with our vision for this bundle, and the fact that we have such a good working relationship with them, to the point where we could pull this off and make it beneficial for both parties, I can tell you the end result is going to be incredible.”
While no official release date or pricing have been announced, the Rock Band: Bang Camaro Edition is expected to hit store shelves before Christmas at a price point of approximately $600.

Hehe, yeah, this was a joke. I came up with it last night when I was singing Pleasure (Pleasure) and a group of friends were watching me and singing along.
Someone put up a disclaimer for me. Didn't realize I made it that believable.

To be honest, I'm starting to wonder if SingStar's dual-mic setup for the PS2 works for Rock Band...

You have a future in writing press releases, it was so convincingly written I didn't want people getting misled. ;)

I just hope someone at Harmonix or Bang Camaro gets a laugh out of it. I start to laugh just thinking of how that setup would actually work in my living room.

You'd need a bigger USB hub. :D

Daisy chain about 6 of them. I'd be more worried about the power supply
Edit: Also, BC shares mics. They'd need to create advanced heuristics to force two players to sing in one mic.

I believe it's to stay true to the old-school addage. Songs like Bang a Gong (Get it On), Dirty Deeds (Done Dirt Cheap), (Don't Fear) The Reaper, Rocket Man (I Think It's Going To Be A Long Long Time), For Those About To Rock (We Salute You), (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay. There have been lotttsss of them throughout the history of rock, and since in a lot of ways BC is a throwback they're just keeping in character.
Does the BC edition come with one hotel room to split with 25 dudes? :P

More importantly, does it allow you to shoot fireworks from your moving vehicle during your midwestern tour?
