DLC that I had downloaded when I had RB1 will not play in RB2 all of a sudden. In the song selection screen the preview clip will not play and if you select the song it begins to load then comes up with an error saying something to the equivalent of "The song file is unavailable and can not be loaded. You will be returned to the main menu" and then it kicks you out to the main band screen.
All songs that I have downloaded since starting RB2 play fine. Have I tossed all that money for DLC down the drain? Please help!

Did you have your 360 replaced?
Do any of the songs work when connected to xbox live?

They dont work on xbox live either, but now that you mention it I did have to send my Xbox in since I quit playing RB1, but I'm pretty sure that I got the same Xbox back (it just got repaired). Funny thing is that a few of the songs work (I remember playing Sick, Sick, Sick by QOTSA just the other night), but most do not.

I would do a license migration and then redownload all of your song files from your download history. That usually works in these situations.

Thanks for all your help! Could you give me a quick overview of how to do the license migration? I'm unfamiliar with it.
Thanks again!

I would also suggest deleting and redownloading all of your songs after you do the migration. You'll find your download history by pressing the xbox button->settings->account management.
Also, all RB1 and RB2 DLC will be in the RB1 folder on your hard drive.

I'll try the migration first. Deleting all my songs makes a bit nervous (understandably I hope). Thanks again for your patience and help, it's much appreciated!

I understand how deleting data would make you nervous, but redownloading your songs is often necessary.
How about this? If after the transfer you find one of the single songs (one of the free ones if at all possible) that doesn't work, just delete that one and redownload it.
And I'm glad to help.

Ok, did the license migration. It found ten licenses that werent on my newest console. I went through the process and it told me to sign back onto xbox live and go into accnt mgmt/download history and download all the content again, but i cant because my download history will only go back over the past 30 downloads and the songs that arent working for me are way older than that...
Any ideas?
