I've been playing drums for 14 years but I'm new to to the electronic drum kits. I've recently bought an Alesis DM5 Drum Module for my Ion Drumrocker and I am having trouble getting the best settings. If anyone knows alot about calibrating their DM5 Module for Gain, Velocity Curve, Crosstalk, Decay and noise, Please Respond!!!! I'm also wondering if you can use the kick pedal that comes with the drumrocker as a kick pedal on the Alesis DM5 Module. I have it connected and the DM5 will not pick up the signal from the stock pedal so I don't know whether I have to buy a seperate kick pad and kick pedal for this to work and just use the stock pedal for the high hat switch or is there a special setting to switch to avoid this. Any comments and help are greatly appreciated!

You cannot. It's not a kick pedal, and as you already found, the DM5 won't recognize it as a kick pedal...because it's not a kick pedal. :)

I think that is just plain ******ed, or the fact that they don't say anything on the drumrocker website that you need a kickpad and pedal. Thanks.
