horrific news man, sorry to hear that. youve got options for replacing your box but youre definately gonna be looking at some down time no matter what. which as a gamer is always the worst part.

whenever ive broken a system, or my Ion, or something i either play my real drums, or a different game. Rock Band cured my WoW addiction, then when my Ion kit broke, Warhammer cured my RockBand addiction...

I called Microsoft last night. The woman I talked to didn't even ask me when I bought my Xbox, she just set up the return and e-mailed me a shipping label. I shipped it today. It's only going like 100 miles away from me to repair so hopefully it won't take too long.

or you could just open your xbox your self, take off the cpu cooler apply new paste, reclamp, close up, and boot up. that is the only problem

Worse news, my xbox just stopped reading disks and from the look of it, I'll have to get a new xbox. Now, I have over 130 DLC tracks and as I've just moved, I won't have internet good enough to connect to xbl, meaning no more playing those 130 songs or the rockband 1 songs till, well, next time I move because one cannot play DLC they have off of the original xbox downloaded to unless they're connected to xbox live.

PS3's aren't exempt from similar problems you know. I have 4 friends with PS3's and two of them broke.
But 360 hardware failure rate is still leauges worse. (2 of mine broke...1st RRoD, 2nd "E80")


Thats why you buy a console at Best Buy and get a 3-year warranty, you'll get a new one instantly.

mine rrod too, but i was playing RB again in less than an hour, all you have to do is wrap like 3 towels around it and leave it on for like 30 minutes so it over heats, then turn it off for about 15 minutes until it cools down, then magically it works again.

Yeah i'm in the process of waiting for a repair, mine messed up right before christmas, it was more than likely my fault cause I would binge play Left 4 dead for at least 4-6 hours at a time. Just a note, the towel thing mentioned is supposed to work for a short period of time, but there is a chance of fire, and if that were to happen your warranty is voided, and there is also the chance of burning up the video card. To Haruki, call microsoft and explain the situation, they may be able to fix it for a fee, if not they may be able to do some type of transfer deal for your dlc, of course this would require internet access for at least an hour or so if they were willing to do it. Here's a joke for ya.
