just to coincide with that 10-20 minutes of DB outage that we all just experienced here?

Maybe you didn't see the advertisements.
www.rockband.com/rockers_home works too.

Nope like most people on the web I have selective ad blindness - Though that is dissapointing that a commercial site such as this based around the game will have that much advertising.

Crossing fingers those adds are part of the portal software they're using for test purposes and will go away once they go live.
*shrug* Not going to judge until I see the real deal. Looking promising though.

Yea... tis a shame, hey maybe that advertising will go to helping us get new guitars that work and drums that can drum roll!
Keep in mind if you guys look at that site it is still in development, seems like a few div layers are off, it is affecting the faq page as well. That page's community button now links to rockers_home as well.
And just because it's there doesn't mean it is imminent, just in progress - I do php stuff for an advertising company myself, so it was a nice 10 minute tangent to check out there errors and stuff :) It's all very familiar and I know what they are going through with those database errors you are likely to see!

damn-you beat me to the punch :) I saw that and couldn't stop laughing, looks like Harmonix is outsourcing too :)
QAIndia=Quality Assurance?
I like how several of the profiles are also things such as hmnxtest, hamnxtest so on and so on.

Great... I've had enough Indian QA this month to last me a lifetime. A word of advice - never buy anything from Western Digital. Doesn't look good for future RMA issues. Ugh...
Anyway - Ads on the internet? I don't think I've seen one in years. Firefox+AdBlock+Filterset.G = no ads ever.

They are using Drupal (http://drupal.org/). That doesn't come loaded with ads. Those are flash ads, the annoying ones that drop down over content you actually care about.

QAIndia... there was a huge deal with a forum member using that name before, it was basically a bot of some sort. weird stuff.

Beat me to it.
Drupal's nice, been thinking about using it for a project or two in the future, good to see HMX using some nice open-source CMS stuff. :D

So register doesn't work... but login probably does, cause it doesn't throw up an error and these guys need to test... and their passwords are usually simple, I wonder if anyone can find one :D not that I would advise it!

Indeed they are. Didn't look but for 2 seconds and should have paid more attention. Use drupal a bit and know that is definitely not an "out of the box" feature. *sigh*

:( oh no! Did they rename the DB on us!
Sorta... they fixed it: You are not authorized to access this page.
But the ads are gone......for now
