What are your favorite guitar solos? They don't have to be shredding solos.

My two favorites are:
London Calling-The Clash
Touch Of Grey-The Grateful Dead

I like Rush.

Nirvana - The man who sold the world
Zeppelin - Whole lotta love
Tool - Sober
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb

I don't particularly relish guitar solos, but I enjoy the 'solo' that goes under the last verse and chorus of NYC's Like a Graveyard (Moldy Peaches), and the solo at the start of the original Metal Heart (Cat Power).

I could name one of a hundred classic rock solos, but I'll switch things up and say that "White Stripes - You Don't Know What Love Is" is probably my favorite from the past few years.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't he just vamp on the intro for that solo? It's been a while since I've heard it, but I don't remember the solo being flashy, just fitting the song.

I'm a big fan of the Bass Guitar solo in The Real Me by The Who.

And the bass solo in My Generation is awesome.

A personal favorite of mine is the Black Sabbath solo on their eponymous song, It's not amazingly fast or technical but I love it, the solo on Echoes by Pink Floyd is amazing as well, particularly the Live at Pompeii version.

My favourite shreddy solo is Randy Rhoads's outro solo for Suicide Solution. I get a boner every time I hear it.
