Rock Band- Wii vs PS2. Which is better?

Okay so here is the deal.. I'm on vacation with my cousin in LA. I bought Rock Band for the PS2, since I've always wanted this game, and because he has a PS2. The thing is, my PS2 doesn't work anymore, and i'm about to go back home. I have both a Wii and a PS2.... But, is the 10 extra dollars for the wii version worth it??? What are the differences between both??? Could I play online for the wii version if i wanted to???

If you're talking about Rock Band 1, then it doesn't matter which system you use, they're both the same. If you mean to say Rock Band 2, then go with the Wii version. The Wii version has online play, and will have DLC once they get it prepared for the Wii store. PS2 has neither of these features.

what about the five bonus songs that the wii version has??? oh and, in rock band 1 for wii, can't you play online in a band?

No RB1 for the Wii doesn't have any online play. But if you are planning on buying RB2 in the future, you might want to go with the Wii version because you won't have to buy new instruments. RB2 for Wii does have the online stuff and the PS2 version doen't. And I may be mistaken, but I think the PS2 has the same bonus songs as the Wii.

If your PS2 doesn't work, then why are you even thinking about buying it for that anyway?

Sell your PS2, buy Rock Band 2 for Wii. That's what I would do in this situation. But I don't have any PS2 games that I like to play now, save GH2. And my guitar for it broke.
