So on each song there are a number of blank fill sections. Some of them turn out well for me, some of then make me sound like I'm slightly ******ed and have as much rythm as I do basketball dunking ability ;)
Most of the time I realize that I'm sticking with the same combinations and either speeding up or slowing down. Does anyone have suggestions for some good fills to try? I wish there was an air drum mode but no such luck.

You can go for the standard Phil Collins Rhythm but displace it on different drums:
X= hit random drum for that 1/16th note
0= don't hit anything for that 1/16th note
1 2 3 4 1
XXOX|XOXX|OXXO|XOXO|X
Not sure if that made sense but that's a pretty basic fill that can be expanded on.
I'd be interest is seeing some other rock band drummers ideas! (EASY->EXPERT)

I just play whatever comes to me. Sometimes I play along with the song. Other times I mix in some single hits with some double pad hits. You just gotta let your arms go where they may even if it means you might look like you are having a seizure. Which is what I looked like at first. :D

Man, I pretty much do the same...just let whatever happens at the moment. But as mentioned, my subconcious always tends to resort to the 4-5 same fills so I too am hoping that the RB masses can give some of their favorite drum licks to the needy.

I have a few and of course the ever-trusty spaz out.
1. Snare roll
2. Tripelette two hand synch'd beats
3. Cymbal roll (nice to not sound harsh)
4. Multi-taps that progress from red-yellow-blue-green in sequence (say a sec on each)
