Why no BWT online?

Why is there no BWT online? I know there must be a reason but what is it? I understand no singleplayer BWT but y not online. Thanks I would just like to know if it will be a patch or something or to just look for it if they make a rockband 2

if you used the search function, you'd find the answer is "because it wasn't ready/done by the time Harmonix wanted to release the game for the holiday season".

it goes on to talk about how it's sorta like programming an MMO type game etc etc.
