GH guitar won't play on PS3 Rock Band game

I have a PS3 with Rockband kit (drums, cymbal, guitar and mic) I was advised by an EB retailer that the GH guitar would be compatible with the game.

When I connected the ports as required, Rock Band recognised the GH guitar as a microphone.

Is there a way that the GH guitar can become 100% compatible with Rock Band and the same for Rock Band 2?:confused:

Yes, make sure your PS3 is connected to the internet so it can download the latest game patches for RB and RB2. You need that in order for the GH guitar to work.

Start up the game. It will automatically download the latest patch.
