Amen to that. Dragonforce is a wake-up call to the music industry. It's sad that there are so many people that don't appreciate them. People seem to think that because a band are amazing instrumentalists, they can't make good music. I hear the same crap with Dream Theater which is just ridiculous.

ok... first of all harmonix has already stated that they will NEVER put dragonforce in rock band go look it up. and the beginning you through the fire and the flames is herman li using his ibanez s class prestige with acoustic pickups not a piano.. i rest my case

GH3 is the most forgiving GH type game ever made and RB is almost the most unforgiving guitar game ever

If dragonforce was in Rock band NOBODY would EVER beat it

They also wouldnt beat it on drums because the drums apparently dont register 100 hits on the snare within 5 seconds

Can someone link me to where Harmonix stated that Dragonforce won't be in this game?

Also, if that is true, that is a bit dissapointing. I would love to see Dragonforce make it into Rock Band as a 3 song pack. My picks would be:

-Through the Fire and Flames
-Operation Ground and Pound
-Fury on the Storm

Also, for all those complaining that it would be too hard... I don't really think it would be. Although the guitar is fast, its not as bad as they make it out to be over in GH3 land... if you notice they added a bunch of notes to all the songs to make them more difficult. As for the singing, its pretty standard, shouldn't be a problem. As for drums, yes it is fast, but very repetitive. Also they have already set the precedent in the other metal songs (Metallica) on expert that you will only play the main pedal in any part with double bass (although oddly enough they have you play a few of the double bass fills in Tom Sawyer, although none of those are more than a few strokes long).

The drums and guitar would be 100% impossible on expert , and most likely impossible on hard mode too

RBs HOPO system and note hitting window is too bad and too short to actually play an accurate DF note chart

The only dragonforce song they could ever put in rock band is "Trail of broken hearts"

I donno if you noticed but fast lines of repeating 1 drum DONT work in the game... it wont recognize a large ammount of the notes even if you hit it right because apparently it cant process that fast

There was recently an interview on either Joystiq or Kotaku. Look it up.

Ok. I read the article everyone is talking about, and I think your taking it a bit literally. The point they were getting at is they are targetting songs that are about the "full band" experience, and they don't feel that Dragonforce has these types of songs. While I disagree, I'll respect the developers opinion.

Either way, a bit dissapointing, but I'll keep holding my breath, and I'll bet anyone around a friendly bet of $5 that Dragonforce will someday appear in some iteration of Rock Band, and here is why:

1) Money talks, if Dragonforce packs will make money, then they will be in Rock Band. I heard on the radio recently that reports are showing Dragonforce singles and album sales are increased on sites such as iTunes as high as 180% month to month when Guitar Hero III was released. Obviously people are interested.

2) So they say Dragonforce isn't what they are looking for in Rock Band in the interview. We all know that whenever a publisher/developer says one thing it is cold hard fact and it will never change. It will always come true and they will never go back on their word right? :rolleyes: Exactly.
