View Full Version : It's not a guitar problem, it is a software one.

Playing "Go with the Flow" really illustrates this point. On the 1/16th notes, about 1-2 out of every 10-15 notes is dropped, despite the fact that it otherwise registers (the lights and rectangles consistently and correctly light up) in practice mode and during breaks in the song.
Try it for yourselves. Play "Go with the Flow" on Hard and watch as notes drop for no apparent reason. Then go to Practice or in dead spots in the song and hold down the same chords and strum at the same rate: the lights blink and the rectangles come out correctly.
The bottom line is that a patch is needed to address this, and I'm not so sure that sending in for a new guitar (though tempting to do so) will correct this issue. I am afraid it will have to come in the form of a patch.
Give this a shot and let me know what you guys think.

That would be nice, but it works fine with my X-Plorer but not the Strat. It also consistently works on the upstrum but not consistently on the downstrum. People take their guitars apart and adjust them and then the problem goes away.
Seems like a hardware issue.

Definitely a hardware problem cause the x-plorer works fine.

I have a hard time with long runs of the same note fast, but I'm not the best player and I'm working with a borked guitar. I'm trying upstrums and I kinda feel what you're sayin' but I can't rule out the fact that I might not be good enough either. Wish I could help more.

It's a hardware issue. There have been a couple of people who've gone in-depth with the repair process (if you're ballsy enough to try it yourself), and have been able to fix the guitar by screwing with the hardware.
