You really shouldn't put your email in forum posts. That's begging for spam.

Your smiles are backwards, bro.
Anyway, to export songs, make sure your console is online and you're signed in to Xbox Live. If you haven't already gotten the RB1 updates, they'll download when you launch the game. Then, in the options menu, there's an option called export songs. Just click it. It'll take you to the page where you purchase the export key, which is 400 points ($5). Buy it, and then go back and the songs will export to your HD.

I've searched on-line and through these forums, but can't find the answer to this question:
Does RB1 have to be new or could I go rent it and copy over the songs? There are only a handful of songs I want, so it wouldn't make sense to pay full price.
Thanks for your help guys.

you dont need a new copy. you can rent it or borrow it from a friend. if you have an xbox 360 you can delete the songs you dont want after exporting. for the ps3 you dont have that option
