Which Indie Bands Should Be In Rock Band

The Mars Volta
has the perfect sounds for rock band, they have amazing parts for every instrument especially vocals guitar and drums. Anything off of Frances the Mute would be unbelievable to play especially the song
"Cygnus....Vismund Cygnus"

Its so out there but it would be the most epic song to play.

Also for those of you who played guitar hero 3, Th Fall of Troy got their song fcpremix in the game, but all of there stuff from Dopelganger is magic. They would be a perfect addition to the game.

Besides that i thnink another great indie choice would be Say Anything
we need a semi acoustic song and there are great ones from both Say Anything albums.

The Mars Volta isn't indie buddy. They've been on a major label since their debut. They've got a few songs that would be awesome for the game though. Its too bad that most are too long. The L'Via L'Viaquez radio edit would be awesome (the spanish probably kills any chance it has of getting in the game though). The Widow would be fun (minus the weird **** at the end). Vermicide would work, even though I personally don't really like Amputecture... Roulette Dares would be sweet. Good guitar riff. The drums would be nuts too.

Intertiatic ESP would be effing perfect though. Seriously.

90's indie was really definable, but - none of the bands that have been listed so far would be on my list of contemporary indie rock groups.

I admit I would do things that many men would not to see Hockey Night or Motion City Soundtrack in this game. There are some others I'd like to see (Specifically New Years Day, Moneen [To Say Something That Means Nothing At All has a charming solo]) as at least single songs, but I think Hockey Night and Motion City Soundtrack would work really well on all instruments for several songs and even entire albums.

I tend to agree with this in every Mars Volta thread.

As for indie, Les Savy Fav (http://myspace.com/lessavyfav) would be wonderful. Of the songs on that link, The Equestrian or The Sweat Descends would be great, as would Disco Drive.
