View Full Version : Single guitars not available in stores because?

Just had a thought, not that I think the worst of anyone, but what if they knew they were crap and decided they needed a reserve to send out to users as replacements and that's why you can't go buy one single at a store.

Maybe I'm just a conspiracy guy, but it just seems like it might be a bit reasonable.:( Under pressure to release before x-mas, not enough time to re-tool the design etc..

I think they want to focus on bundles. They need to make enough to supply Canada and Europe which has yet to receive the game. But, this was announced long ago so if they knew something was wrong with the guitars they probably would have just fixed them, they had enough time.

Guitar Hero 3 doesn't have single guitars out yet either and that came out a month earlier. It just takes some time.

I bet ebay has some but obviously there is the risk of buying a broken one

Maybe the bundles should of included 2 guitars.. Since 4 peeps can play and u only get 2 instruments and one mic.. Lets assume some peeps have xbox 360 and no gh's.. they would need 2 guitar controllers too.

At least if in included 2 guitars then you would be able to use the 2nd one as a backup until the replacement for the first arrived.

For the PS3 the GH controller = negative on RB.

The Harmonix guys have been quoted several times in mainstream media (which in turn is reported here in the forums) that production time in combination with limited retail space "forced" the decision of only going with a single bundle SKU for the holiday season.
