I think I might have been playing on Expert too hard.
When I'm navigating the menu, occasionally, when I strum down, the game thinks that I'm still holding down the bar, and will continue scrolling down, until I strum up or something.
Also, the strum bar, in its idle position, will hang down a little bit, instead of being in the center.
Should I send it in?
I've only had Rock Band 2 for a few weeks.

I would say yes, you are still under warranty after "a few weeks". Do you strum back and forth on expert? Or do you constantly down strum? I won't let friends who down strum only even play my game anymore because it's ruined both a RB and GH guitar with similar problems.

Well, I have to strum up and down, when I have to do 16th notes, and 8th notes sometimes, but the rest of the time, I'm either doing hammer-ons, or I'm hitting it down.
And when I do, I don't jam it down with my thumb, like I'm trying to snap it off. I play it just the same as I've been playing with my GH2 SG controller for a couple years, and that one doesn't have anything wrong with it.
I'd rather not deal with postage, but, if it's cheaper than buying a new one, I probably should do it, even if I have to wait.
I was just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this problem, and if it's serious enough to justify sending it in.

Well I wish you the best of luck in finding a lasting solution.

If you live in the US, you won't have to pay postage. Go to http://support.ea.com/rockband/ and start an RMA.
