Game saves cannot be copied on the PS3

Game saves cannot be copied on the PS3. Not only that; if you back up the hard drive and attempt to restore - guess what isn't there? That's right - Rock Band saves. Way to go on that one - PS3 owners get screwed again.

Also - please do not attempt to defend the companies actions. The game saves were copy protected on PURPOSE. It was not an oversight.

Fanboy, this isn't a console issue so don't make it one. I'm sure there are other boards for that.

Just because I own a PS3 does not mean the functionality of a game should be crippled on purpose by the creators.

im pretty irritated with the game save issue as well. the only thing i can think of is that DLC is saved into the game save. so to prevent unauthorized sharing of DLC you cannot copy it. if that's the case I wish they figured out how to save the DLC somewhere else...maybe it can be patched?

Yeah, that does suck. I assume that it has something to do with protecting the DLC. But progress info and characters should be able to be copied. Heck, this may be the case on 360 too.

The game save issue is ass on the PS3. The 360 guys dismiss is because they gotta pay through the nose for an HD upgrade while the PS3 guys can upgrade any time them want except for this BS.

shouldnt the dlc be tied to a psn account,

at the very least just make it so you can transfer over band data, character avatars, logos, and the like onto memory stick so as to bring it over to a friends house to play and stuff.

The saves are locked on the 360 too, unless I missed something. I tried to copy mine over onto a memory card from the memory manager in the dashboard and it said this game can not be copied.
