TOP 10: Old GH Songs You Want in Rock Band

Okay, simple top ten: Which songs from previous versions of Guitar Hero (III acceptable) would you want to see in Rock Band (and if you have the time, why?) Mine are:

10. Kool Thing (III)
Sonic Youth's one of my favorite bands of all time, and it was a lot of fun to play something this weird in the GH series.

9. More Than A Feeling (I)
This was the song that got my friends and I hooked on GH originally, and it's the song that we all learned how to play Expert one. Total classic.

8. Radio Song (III)
I'd never been into Superbus before, but I loved playing the song and I really got into them afterwards.

7. Psychobilly Freakout (II)
If for no other reason, it's the hardest GH song that I've ever really mastered.

6. Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You (II)
I mean, it's Spinal Tap. No-brainer.

5. Billion Dollar Babies (II)
This was the perfect warm-up song. Easy to get through, but it got the blood pumping and got me ready to rock back when I was playing GHII.

4. Lay Down (III)
Same story as Radio Song - a great GH track that turned me on to a good new band.

3. Ziggy Stardust (I)
My favorite Bowie song. Praying that we get masters for DLC sometime in the future.

2. Sweet Child Of Mine (II)
Great song to play, start to finish. So much more fun than Welcome to the Jungle was in III. And it's a song that I can never hear too many times.

1. Can't You Hear Me Knockin' (II)
Has always been one of my favorite Stones songs, and will always be one of my favorite songs to play on a fake guitar.

Honorable Mentions go to The Seeker (III), which isn't on the list because it'll be in Rock Band soon enough, and the Halo Theme (III) because I'm a gigantic nerd.

I wouldn't just want them for the drums. Not everyone just buys Rock Band because it's "Drum Hero," you know?

Some of the drums would be fun. A lot of them would be fun to sing. It'd be great to be able to play them without having to boot up GHI/II/III just for the one song. And all of them would be great for having a full band.

I donno but a big part of rock band is the non guitar instruments and if you can already do the guitar to a song on another game and its drums arent much fun , then that just leaves the singing which I personally don't care much about doing since I can do that w/o a game

Im not tryin to be a major ass or anything... I guess perspectively anyone could enjoy the drums on any song in the world but thats just not me :/

Can I petition for a Guitar Hero 1 "Album Pack" for DLC. Of all three Guitar Hero games and now including Rock Band, Guitar Hero 1 was the only one out of all of them that I truly loved and would want to play every song over again (especially if they can get the master recordings). I want nearly the entire first GH! Guitar Hero 1 had the most fun,solid,and diverse set list out of ANY game. I love the first GH the best! I mean,look at the bands on it!

Motorhead,the Donnas,Edgar Winter Group,Queen,Sum 41,White Zombie,Judas Priest,Queens of the Stone Age,Red Hot Chili Peppers,Deep Purple,Blue Oyster Cult,Boston,ZZ Top,Black Sabbath,David Bowie,the list goes on and on.

The best part is they had all the big HITS from the band that everyone KNOWS so it's extremely accessible for the casual music listener! Guitar Hero 2 had too much 90's music and niche songs. I want to play the big hits like Dream On from Aerosmith,the stuff everyone knows,not the 4th track in on their least known album. I think in order from best to worst it goes GH1,GH3,GH2.

Get the first game compatible with the Strat,we still have our copies of GH on the PS2!

A really popular and quite easy song from GH2. It would be fun to sing "Na na na nah".

9. Atreyu - "Ex's and Oh's"
Some parts might have to be censored or rephrased, but it's a well-rounded song for singing, guitar, and drumming.

8. Sonic Youth - "Kool Thing"
For the lack of songs with woman lead singers.

7. My Chemical Romance - "Dead"
This should appeal to those alternative tastes.

6. Stray Cats - "Rock This Town"
Even though it's an 80's song, RB need something that at least sounds like a 50's or 60's song. It's catchy, too.

5. Lynyrd Skynyrd - "Free Bird"
Obviously, it's Free Bird. Great lyrics, great for the guitar.
