UPS says the holiday was crap.

Alright, so the biggest cop-out ive heard about the replacements is that UPS had a holiday. I've heard 4 and 5 day holiday saying nothing was shipped wed-sun. I called UPS to confirm that story and they said that all AIR packages were shipped on friday. Therefore someone is lying.

This is complete horsesh*t. I want my replacement that I ordered at 3am PST wednesday. The rockband warranty support keeps saying "it will be here" but I wanna know why it hasnt shipped yet. They say that it is "in process" but then i read that people who requested their warranty replacement on friday are already receiving them?

Anyone else get this response from UPS?

Not from UPS, but I am in the same F_cking boat as you, dude. I ordered mine 5 am wednesday and those asses havent even shipped mine yet. Some indian dude, who couldn't understand me, much less me understand him, basically copped out and said that customer service has done their part and it is the warehouse that I am waiting on. Why don't you just spit on my face and piss on my dog while your at it?

Im just hoping that the site ahsnt updated yet as they state that it may take up to 48 hours for info to update and more during holiday times. Some people have already recieved packaged without an updated status. I would just be patient and not blame things on ups. If they get a package due for 2 day, it will arrive in 2 days for the most part. Harmonix has not shipped your product yet and it could be because they have so many requests or do not have enough availible extras. Be patient everyone and await a statement soon. Accidents happen, this one being major but it is a one time thing, its not like every game they ahve released has had widescale problems and let me also mention that the first guitar for guitar hero was created by red octane and not harmonix. this was their first attempt at a guitar.

They have enough parts for people who ordered on Saturday but not enough for people who ordered BEFORE THEM on Wednesday?

That is what truthfully makes me mad. I'm in ohio too, i submitted my request on wednesday and still nothing. Its almost liek the halo 3 beta, poeple who registered too early didnt get registered. Im starting to wonder if for some reason, everyone who put in orders before monday didnt get registered. At my company i work for, we have a program called UPS world ship and when an online order is placed, weights of the item are calculated and a shipping label is automatically printed. If UPS has down servers, which has happened sometimes and probably happened on their vacation, the info cannot be sent to UPS so instead it is held in a backup folder and will not print until the backup folder is open and someone clicks reprint labels. im hoping that this is not the case.

that is what i posted in another thread, i truthfully hope that it isnt the case but who knows. Also, if they are auto printing, which big companies 90 percent do, then the most recent ones will be on top of the stack and the people labelling boxes probably dont know any better than to use the top.

i just guess ill never understand how some people can get so upset over something that in the grand scheme of things will ultimately mean absolutley nothing. Im waiting on a new guitar and new kick pedal, but at the same time, I have a job, a wonderful girlfriend, and a roomate who's willing to use the X-Plorer and some duct tape to keep the pedal somewhat working in the meantime.

There is no doubt in my mind EA is sending me my replacements, free of charge to me. And when they get here, whenever that is, I'll be really psyched. Until then, I dont really think about it that much...

All this delay in getting my stuff has taught me is that BioShock is a great game that uses the standard controller, by the way ;)

I sware to god Im actually drinking a beer AND playing Rock Band as we speak. Im using my X-Plorer. My roomate is playing drums (he cant get Vasoline on hard down) while I see if anyone's responded to my questions about why I cant connect to Rock Central.

I paid $180 for it too, and Im not happy. But Im making the best of a bad situation, and I know that EA/HMX is GOING to replace my broken stuff. When it happens, I'll be glad.

very well said. Some people have other things they can spend their time on. It was a mistake and you cant tell me you are all perfect. Be happy you are gettign replacements as easy as you can, without the hundreds of questions and months of waiting like some companies namely xbox, go back to the pre rock band decade

That is what I have been trying to stress to people, and it seems whenever someone says anything like that you become a HMX fanboy. Does broken gear suck? yes. We all paid the same amount for this game and most of us I believe are waiting on replacement controllers. Some of us just choose to wallow in the misery while others make due, enjoying other aspects of the game or other games during the wait. I personally see no need to lose sleep or create any anxiety over this mess. The reactions on this site are amazing; everyone becoming a lawyer, talking about fair trade practices and false advertising and demanding this and that...over a pile of plastic. If only the world had this amount of people foaming at the mouth over starving children or global warming...

I guess, for me at least, there are much bigger things to get angry over than a stupid video game. Strummer on my guitar broke...so I use my xplorer till my new one comes. Some people don't have the option (ps3 owners). I would just play something else instead. I got along fine before RB, and I intend to do so during and after.

I deal with UPS all the time at work. Ive seen shipments that never get updated on their site that go smoothly. Ive seen shipments delayed for no reason. Point is not every UPS center is going to send packages out at the same rate. And you call ups's main line to ask when something should have shipped... thats like asking ford what they think of their new model. If they have 500 locations and only 1 sent shipments out on friday that means they can say that items went out on friday. Unless your next door neighbor requested the same thing at the same time you have no way of knowing if UPS is at fault or if its someone else.

It does kind of bug me that others are getting their guitars when I ordered mine on Wed and it hasn't been shipped yet. Oh well, at least my drums are still working. For now.
