Bands in similar genres to ones you already like: Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Disturbed, Silversun Pickups, The Smashing Pumpkins, that's all I can think of off the top of my head (it's getting late otherwise I'd list more :D)

Bands in genres you should try out:
Symphonic Metal: Within Temptation, After Forever
Prog (and it's various subgenres): Jethro Tull, Dream Theater, Coheed and Cambria, Opeth
Punk: The Clash, Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion

Again I could list more, but I'm getting tired.

Ahhh Cold. Scooter's lyrics are so awesome.

I'd recommend Nine Inch Nails, Finger Eleven, Breaking Benjamin, & Seether with your previously mentioned bands. NIN is more industrial while the other three are more alt-rock/alt-metal/post-grunge/whatever.

Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Innerpartysystem, Rise Against, Lostprophets. Pretty much anything from my sig too.

Definitely check out Alice in Chains. Also, as mentioned look into Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. That'll fill your grunge fix as a Nirvana fan...

So would the mods like to explain to me why my post was deleted from this board?

Bull****.

Do the mods hate cold or something?

I found this band a couple days ago. I really like this song and they have another song that arnt to bad. It isent for everyone, more than likely either love it or hate it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UGUhlD7rr0
Lunatic Soul - Out On A Limb

Another band I found a couple months ago is ISIS. They arnt as rare/new but I like them also. The are similar style to Lunatic Soul but not as much art rock.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWjhxnVcmgg
ISIS - Holy Tears

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZfspVFUBAo
ISIS - Dulcinea

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8HZ_gjjiHc
ISIS - So Did We

All of these songs are overall the same "genre" but have different elements to them that I enjoy. If you dont like one then I suggest trying the others out before you decide you dont like it. I wish HMX would get something like these songs for RockBand, they arnt really party songs but I think some art rock would be cool.

Here's 80 CDs that I think you should check out. (http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61691)

Made the list a while back, and based on your preferences, I think you'd like a lot of them.

Wow, Dung, we like a LOT of the same bands. Alkaline Trio is in my top 3 all-time, and to see Brand New (more "Weapon" for me than "Deja"), Ted Leo, and Tegan and Sara (so sue me, I like whiney indie chicks!) on there just bumps you up in my book!

You can check out bands like Temple of the Dog, Mother Love Bone, Mudhoney, Screaming Trees, Gruntruck and Mad Season if you're looking for more nirvana era grunge bands. You'll notice that a lot of the bands have members from other bands in them. You could also check out pandora.com
