I think if you're playing locally with all four instruments, you should be able to do some sorta setlist that swaps everyone's band position after each song automatically.. and at the end of the set tallies up everyone's total score and awards the best band member (with cheese-sticks or something)

I imagine you could do it all manually of course, but you'd have to note down your scores each time which would just be a pain :)

Yeah I think thats a great idea, I love it. An award to the band member who does the best, and that would be great if there was an option to randomly select the intruments for each player if you guys cant decide. That would be great.

Yeah like instead of slecting an instrument at the options screen, each intrument picks what player it is. Like "Whos on drums now" (player 1, 2, 3, or 4)

I meant like whoever was on the intrument chooses what player he/she is.

Yeah, that's a pretty neat idea, but the game could expand on that. Like for the leaderbords, you could see who's the best guitarest in the world, or who was the best singer in the world for each setlist, and over all. The game could also tell the players that so-and-so band just beat this-and-that band for 1st place in setlist 3, so on and so forth.

That's an EXCELLENT idea. Even though it's not technically a competitive game (like an FPS or such), there's no reason why they couldn't make it so.

Yeah, something like this is competition enough. You don't wanna go overboard like GH3, with 2 player battles, making their notes screw up and crap...

I Kinda find Gh3's "Battle" modes.. Stupid , they are Making an awesome music game into.. crap.. Thank Harmonix they are making RockBand.. i just like Face off or Pro Face off. dont need any Fancy new 1 minute idea by Activision.. they should try to stick to THPS Wich lately they have Suck at it..

Face off modes are fine. The goal of Face Off mode is to make better music than your opponent. In vs mode on GH3 the aim if to make the other person screw up. It's just not what music gaming is about!!! lol

I dont think Gh4 will be coming in the future if it is.. its going to have the most idiotic features since Activision will never ever eeeveer be a RockBand
