Band Leader and changing roles.

This might be the wrong part of the forum to post this in, but I have one pet peeve that I would LOVEE to have fixed (besides my guitar, lol) is the band leader problem. One band that me and my gf started, she was the leader and she wanted to do drums at the time and now we can't play that band without a drummer. Another problem is I have a singer on my gfs profile that I would like to have on my profile but yeah. And my gf plays guitar and drums and I play guitar and sing and being able to switch it up would be nice. Think of how David Grohl would feel. Drumming, Guitar, Singing. If he played Rock Band and wanted to be a Drummer, he would be stuck, lol. Just venting. That's all. Anyone agree with me?

I agree with you, however the people at Harmonix do not. They feel you should be stuck to the role which you chose, as if you were in a RPG. Now go slay that dragon with your +5 drumsticks.

I completely agree..........poor game design. I'm the only one in my group that enjoy's the drums so now I'm stuck playing the drums 100% of the time because I made the drummer the band leader! It's actually pretty silly pidgeon hole each character into one instrument.

My band had that problem when our leader decided she was better at singing than drums, so to keep our name we delted the band and recreated it with a guitar as the leader. I know its not gonna work for everyone, but seeing as half of a band uses a guitar, a guitarist is probably the best bet for band leader.

But yeah, it would be nice to be able to change the band leader if not be able to use whatever instrument you want without having to make a new character.

I've found a very rudimentary fix. It's nothing impressive, but if you REALLY want to change it, there's a "Change Rocker Name" option in the Options menu under Manage Data I believe. I started singing way more than playing bass, so we swapped the band leader's name out to something that the guy that does a lot more of our Guitar and Bass liked and let him recustomize the character. You can't change face, body or weight, but it's a lot better than nothing at all.
