Okay so Thursday I got rock band and about 2 hours later the down strum stopped working. I went online here and noticed the problem is wide spread. I went to the EA website and did the replacement guitar request when LOW AND BEHOLD!, right after my credit card information gets sent off the webpage goes white and I get a whole bunch of random words, numbers, letters and scipts I suppose on the web screen... I get no E-mail, no RMA number whatever that is, nothing up to this time. So today I call customer support once and the guy sees my stuff after I give him my e-mail address and says they got the request but nothing more then that and I should call UPS for the tracking number or go to the website. So I do that and cant do anything without a tracking number in the first place... so back to call ea customer service and this time after 10 minutes they ask for my e-mail again and get in, she says that the request has not gone through... I tell her that 100$ is on my credit card waiting to be charged and then she says okay nevermind I guess it has gone through (apparently they have no clue whats going on). she says wait till thursday or friday to get an e-mail (which I should have gotten something when I first did the replacement request so obviously something is wrong, dont try telling them that though). So time for a new method, I e-mail EA support and after a couple e-mails back and forth, they cant see any record of me making a request at all. and they tell me that customer service can look up my tracking and RMA number... what the hell is going on???? I think im royally screwed right now. I dont want to do the request again and get another 100$ on my credit card. How would I even get the other off? I guess I'll call them back tomorrow and just tell them to take off the 100$ and i'll do it again, though im sure there will be a problem with that as well...
wow, long rant, sorry guys

I am in the same boat. We might need to form a militia.

At least I'm not the only one... I;m all for the militia, maybe we can storm the EA warehouse and just get our new guitars ourselves, hell if it were nearby I would just drive down there and drop of my old one and grab a new one... If it were anywhere within a 200 mile radius it would be easier than what I have done so far.

Like I said in another post. I live 45 minutes fromBosotn where Harmonix is. I should go see if they have extra equipment.

yeh it pisses me off too. my guitar stopped working just about as soon as i took it out of the box. first i lost the down strum, then i lost everything. cant even scroll through the menu anymore. what kind of garbage is this? is it a mechanical engineering problem? or just masses of broken guitars? did they have beta testing? i paid good money for this product which had/has such great potential, but if they break in under a day, what is going to be the long term of these? and if it truely is a mechancial issue, that will be a real shame, as even your replacements will mess up. i may just end up returning the whole thing to the store. the pink slip is there yes, but you still have your usual 30 days at the place you bought it from.
