Ok, this just doesn't sit right with me. I don't feel good about the fact that there are two or three different models of guitars and drums. Usually this early in a product's life cycle, a new model is only created if there are known problems that need to be corrected. It's probably not for efficiency. That is usually after a product is pretty much perfected and there are newer cheaper ways to get the same results, usually in the long term.

So...most likely one of the models is the "better" design. So why can two people go out and buy Rock Band on the same day and get two different models of instruments? It's like Russian Roulette trying to get a bundle with the "good" models. People have posted photos of the inside of the guitar. The designs are completely different. I really don't see Harmonix letting each factory choose its own design. Usually one "final" design is chosen. I have also seen pics of two different drum designs.

So I ask, why different models? It's one thing to ship all bundles with the same model, then realize there is a problem. Then create a new model. I can understand there being more than one model at that point. But to already have more than one model at release makes me nervous.

Every GH game shipped with different models, as well. I'm just sayin'.
