the problem with the Wii RB1 guitars "unsynching" when playing RB2 is obviously a separate issue from the power problem.
are these issues BOTH being addressed or is the only one being addressed the power issue?
this may sound bad, but my dongle's not working either. I just want some sort of feedback on this issue.
any idea on possible issues? interference from WiFi (as RB1 did not connect via WiFi)? dongle malfunction? what?

my RB1 guitar used to "unsync" when playing RB2... after I changed the batteries it works just fine

Im on my second guitar - both fail to synch or stay synched with any regularity. If I dont find an answer soon I will pack it up and return it. Why was the other thread trying to address this issue closed? BTW both guitars had brand new batteries

I had this issue and called for an RMA because the website didn't seem to have what I was looking for. I was convinced it was the dongle that had the syncing problem and the tech guy thought so too, so they sent me a new dongle, which just arrived today, but I can't get it to sync with my guitar either. Should I RMA again, but for my guitar this time?

^Probably. The Wii isn't a system that has "title updates" so the problems with all the dongles and guitars for RB is just error of design. Go buy a GH guitar, you'll be much happier.

My RB guitars went "limp"... Not to mention steady strumming seems to never work. Forget that, I've never had a problem with either of my GH guitars since GH3's release... My friend somehow dislocated the spring in the whammy on my GHWT guitar, but that's an easy fix (and the whammy still works spring-less surprisingly enough).
BTW: If you let people who only strum down hammer on your GH guitar, the up strum will loose it's responsiveness and eventually break.
