PS3: Guitar/USB Dongle Problem

I've been playing for two days relatively trouble free, but today I've started having problems with the wireless guitar.

At random intervals, the lights on both the guitar and the USB dongle go out and no strums/fret buttons are registered. This only lasts for about a second, then they both come back on and the guitar starts working again. Obviously, this is really annoying as it breaks combos and causes me to miss notes.

The only wireless network in range is a really faint one belonging to my neighbours, so I don't think that's the problem. I've also tried switching between my powered USB hub and the port on the front of the PS3, but it's not making a difference. I've also tried playing right next to the dongle, but it's still doing it.

Any ideas?

i have that problem at times too. also i have the strum bar problem.......i cant even complete a song in easy. i havnt touched my guitar since the release date. the light on the transmitter will blink, and the colors on the screen symbolizing the frets will freeze.

Sounds like you need to adjust the settings on your wireless router. I was having the same issue and then i altered the configuration of my router (apple airport extreme) and it was fine.

I dont know if thats the right fix. I tried this out in the country where there is no wireless routers or cordless phones and still get the blinking lights.

it has nothing to do with the wireless router. this is the dongle, not internet.

Yeah, this is exactly what's happening to me too. I really don't think it's anything to do with wireless router interference. I've tried playing in an area with no wireless signal and it's still happening.

Does anyone know if it's an issue with the guitar or the USB dongle?
