I got the ION Peripheral immediately after it came out, for the PlayStation 3, through DrumRocker.com, and have since logged (estimated) 40+ hours in on it without a single problem.
Tonight, however, I cannot get through a single song without either:
a) The game pausing telling me that the controller port needs to be set back to it's original, and when I check it keeps getting set to a different port randomly, or;
b) The drums just stop registering, which is exactly what was happening with the Rock Band 2 Harmonix drum kit that came with the game.
Because the ION kit isn't wireless, there's no signal to be lost, so that rules that out. Anyone else have any ideas? Any XBOX players have a similar problem?
Thanks in advance

I too recently received my drum rocker kit for the PS3. I posted this problem in another thread. At first I had no disconnect. Once I put the Velcro on the bottom on the drum pedal I started having disconnect problems. I bought a clear vinyl mat at K-Mart for $5, cut a strip off and attached it to the pedal with Velcro. This helped, but if someone walked by and touched the drummer, it would instantly disconnect. We then tried putting some rubber non-slip under the vinyl. Same result. The only setup that seems to be working currently is the vinyl under the pedal and we had to put the rest of the vinyl pad under the drummers left foot also. Basically the drummers feet could not touch the carpet or the static electricity built up would disconnect the drums.
