The hype should have nothing to do with how "bad" a game is. The hype is mostly the consumers fault so if it doesn't live up to expectations that doesn't make it a "bad" game. It just doesn't make it the greatest thing EVAR.

You guys should read up on that Limbo Of The Lost game. Turns out that most of the graphics were stolen from other games. Some cut scenes and audio stolen from movies like Spawn and Pirates of the Caribbean. Weird stuff.

GTA isnt a bad game. Sure, it got overhyped, but its still a great game.

Once again people confuse good/bad and what they like/dislike. I don't like the Halo games, but they are good games. I like Dynasty Warrior games, but they are bad games.

Is Golden Axe Beast Rider bad enough to be on this list? I heard it was awful.

How did Rock Revolution not get on this list? That game is just awful.

I wouldn't say it was one of the worst games of 2008, but Top Spin 3 was a huge disappointment in my opinion. The revamped controls were frustrating as hell, and totally unnecessary to fix whatever problems people had with the controls in the first two. And the tour mode calendar was completely dumbed down and uninteresting compared to Top Spin 2. Shame too, because it was graphically very nice, and they finally fixed it so you didn't have to play at the top of the screen when playing doubles in solo mode (but then removed any opportunities to play doubles events in solo mode :mad:).

The problem with Need For Speed Undercover, is the overall frustration factor, the needless clipping with the animation, and the failed car customization compared with the rest of the series. A HUGE step in the wrong direction. Could have been MUCH better. Not a horrible game, but no where near as good as the rest.

Think again. Carbon, some annoying design quirks aside, was relatively playable, and enjoyable at times.

Undercover's setting is lifeless, its storyline absurd, and some of the new gameplay elements turn certain races into literal crap shoots (while others end up being laughably easy). And it doesn't even have that good of a soundtrack... (granted, Carbon didn't either unless you were driving a muscle car, which handles as poorly as one would expect)

I actually thought Golden Axe: Beast Rider was ok. the lack of co-op like the classic games sucked but overall it was too too bad.

Nope. The common complaint seems to be that they cant manage to figure out blue = parry/counter,orange = dodge and green = either. There's a simple tutorial at the start to explain it,I guess that wasn't included with review copies or they just don't play enough Rock Band to be able to match up colors with button presses. I couldn't figure out what all the crying was about the controls either. I'm a parrying/evading machine. It's quite fun.

Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3 arent bad games, they are great games. There is a difference between dislike and a bad game.

People are stupid if they are going to buy a Paintball game, honestly. I never bought that a Paintball game was going to be the next COD4.

I don't get all the people hating on NFS:Undercover so much. I mean, play Midnight Club:LA and tell me NFS:U is frustrating. Seriously. I rented MC:LA and am so glad I didn't buy it first. The game is incredibly difficult, in that races last 7-10 minutes through overcrowded city streets at blazing speeds with AI with instant reflexes that almost never hit a traffic car. It seems the few times that they actually DO hit a traffic car, it goes directly in front of me, causing an insta-fail.

As for Fallout 3 being an awful game. No, it's a great game. If you don't like Morrowind/Oblivion/Fallout 3, then you don't like the gameplay. That does NOT make it an awful game. That's like somebody who hates FPS's saying CoD4 a bad game. It's laughable at best.

Also, I LOVE Dynasty Warriors (somebody else mentioned it). The only game I don't own is 5 because it seemed a little overboard to buy 3, 3:XL, 4, 4:XL, and 5, lol. That said, they are actually pretty terrible games, with terrible voice acting (one of the main reasons I like them actually) and an extremely simple game mechanic. But anytime I want to mindlessly kill 1000 ancient Chinese warriors, I pop the game in :D
