View Full Version : Nightmare is a ripoff!

Nightmare by Crooked X directly rips off Iron Maiden's Wasted Years! I simply hate it when bands aren't creative enough and steal riffs. I know that some bands do this, but there is no reason to do this. My opinion is that if a band has to steal from another band to create a song, than they shouldn't be making songs at all.

Crooked X is a group of EARLY teens, quite good for youngins.. Even if they did borrow some riffs.

I know, but it just pisses me off when bands do that.

Technically your Rock Band band is stealing entire songs from other people! :p

Yes because I can stop it from showing up in BWT.

This has nothing to do with rockband, but has anyone else ever noticed the complete ripoff metallica pulled with the unforgiven 2. It sounds exactly like children of the damned by iron maiden.

I had a cousin who used to say every song is this or that rip off. I'm like.. the Modern Rock Era is 40 years old and has tens of thousands of songs now,
"it's bound to sound like something."

But they do sound exactly the same in that one part. It wouldn't be so bad if they did something interesting with it. But as it id, it's just copied and pasted with a tempo * 0.5

Okay, so you all have good points. I overreacted. I still would prefer Wasted Years take the place of Nightmare, but eh. I'm gonna try to delete the thread now.
