Rock Band Internet Connection

Hey all..

I have a small question. Last night I was playing Rock Band II on the Wii. When I went to online tour it told me that my connection was lost and that I could not get online. Then I went to Extras and the bottom three options would not open so that I could check my webcode, friends invites and what ever the last one is. At one time I got my webcode, went back online to get my friend code and have not been able to get on since. But then I went to the music store and I was able to download some songs.. So I went back to see if I could play online and it still could not connect. Anyone have any suggestions why I can do the music store downloads but can't do anything else that requires an internet connection. I am using wireless connection with a Linksys Router. I turned all my other connections off so that the only signal would of been to the wii. Can anyone help me please. At one time (only once) I was actually able to play online without any problems, But that was the last time. Also is there anyway that I can find my friend code, it is your wii console id? I just want to be able to add others that play online. Please please someone help me...

My guess is you have the same problem my friend does, where your internet connection "waves" up and down in speed. This irregularity in data transfer makes it very hard for any videogame system (especially Wi-Fi Wii) to make up for that lag... And in some cases (like RB2 and COD5), this irregular lag will prevent you from playing a match entirely. My suggestion is to reset your router, and then re-set the settings in the Wii UI. If the problem persists it's your ISP.
