I just bought the Logitech Vantage USB microphone for the Wii and sadly I don't know if it's working the way at least I think it should. My first experience using a mic with rock band 2 was only yesterday. Hopefully I can clear some things up on this forum. I tried searching around but there was never a definite answer to my problem (if it even really is a problem).
I can say that the mic definitely picks up vocals and adjusts the pitch arrow accordingly. My problem though is the volume output. Even with the ingame vocals at the minimum and the mic volume at max, you can barely hear your voice coming from the TV speakers... unless you clearly, I mean clearly, yell with your lips directly on the mic. Is this the way it's intended to work? Because I feel like it's such a letdown. The singing is a big part of the game, yea? I would want to actually hear my voice amplified (regardless of how bad it is.)
I played around with mic sensitivity, the wii system's audio options, the TV's audio options, turning down everything else other than the mic. Nothing really works. Singing into the mic always results in a faint output. Could it be the mic?
Help?

Could be the mic, if you have any other USB mics availible to you I would do a little test and compare/contrast the two. Good luck.

So is there a fix for this or not. Mine is the exact same way. I have to have the mic volume and sensetivity all the way up and the music volume all the way down to be able to hear anything from the mic. I've seen other forums where other people mention the same thing.
Should you be able to hear yourself on the mic or not?
If so, what other settings are out there to change. I'm on a Wii with a Logitech mic, with sound hooked up to the TV.

Well, I'm in the market for a new Wii mic. It's been a long time since you guys posted on this topic - I wonder what can be done? I was thinking about get a mic preamp (w/ usb output) to go between a mic with XLR output and the console. The preamp would have a gain control for added volume but there's no telling if this would work to make the vocals intelligible. I like to do live streams of my play and I find it hard to hear my voice in my recordings...
