nicko68 i dont think the GH2 sg controller will work for rockband because it is...ROCKBAND!!!!....anyway, the RB stratocaster guitar looks awesome...and anyway the RED SG controller wont work because u need the solo thing at the end of the guitar closest to the strum bar..and the sg controller dosnt have that...so guys what is your favorite instrument in rockband so far

i bought a ps3 just so i could get Rock Band. no dlc and no online kills it for me on the ps2.
especially the dlc, cause it is going to add some major legs to the games lifespan

actually the ps2 sg controller only works for the bass and you do need the black fender strat guitar contolller cause GH2 controllers only work with the GH game and not RBguitar

Hardware:
- Confirmed!, the PS3 drums and guitar are the exact same as the PS2 (and will work on either console) [X360 instruments only work with the X360]
- The USB microphone is universal, and will work on PS2/PS3/X360. The microphone that comes bundled with Karaoke Revolution on the PS2 is also confirmed to work with Rock Band.
- Guitar Hero 1/2 controllers DO work with PS2 Rock Band. The wireless GH3 controller (with the USB dongle) does NOT. (Basically any guitar that uses the PS2 controller port should work. The only USB guitar that works is the Rock Band Strat)
- A PS2 mutlitap is needed if you plan to use two GH1/2 controllers in addition to a standard controller for the vocalist.
- Any powered USB hub should work for plugging in multiple USB instruments

dang...i heard it from my local gamestop that the GH1/2 guitar would only work with bass RB...thnks for finally ending that arguement
