View Full Version : REPLACEMENTS ON THE WAY!! And the equipment is suppose to be improved!

If there is another thread with this I apolagize. I have only seen a thread asking if anyone has received there replacements and I have an answer. I talked to EA this morning and they advise me that due to the holidays they are behind in shipping all request from last week. That today is the last day to send out replacements from last week and that UPS has been slow to update thier website. That all of us should receive our replacements equipment between today and Friday and everyone should definitely have it on Friday. I also asked about if the equipment is the same or different. The rep said that all the equipment is new and improved so we do not have the same problems in the future. She stated that they have been making notes and making changes to everything, and this is a brand new wave of equipment. So hopefully she is right!

It is a lie until my guitar is in my hands and has endured at least a week of non stop thrashing.
Edit: I also hope that it is a "they get shipped today or someone loses their job" type situation.

Hey, I'm in the "I ordered it on 11/21 and got nothing while the guy who ordered Saturday got it on Monday" boat. I used to work in a warehouse. Your job is to ship it when it is ordered, in the order it was ordered in. If I ordered mine last Wednesday, I should get it before people who ordered Saturday. That means someone isn't doing their job. Not only that, but the problem wasn't found and fixed until supposedly yesterday. That means they continued not doing their job until yesterday. Warehouses aren't McDonalds and Walmart. It isn't like you forgot to put pickles on someone's Big Mac. You forgot to ship a mass amount of time sensitive packages or even lost someone's labels for an extended period of time. Grounds for termination at my old job.

I basically got the same story...BUT.....
she said to expect the guitar in 5-7 days... she said it may not take that long but to "allow" 5-7days...
I ordered 2 day express blah blah blah...
2day= 5-7 days? If they're supposedly going out today then why the 5-7days???
I ordered mine 11/21.

First, I understand why you guys are distressed -- it is a good game and you want to keep playing it!
However, 2 day express is IFF they have a product to ship. I am quite sure they could have 2-day shipped and EMPTY BOX to you guys. ;)
When it SHIPS, I am sure it will only be 2 days. Someone has to put something in the box first. If supply is low or limited due to the impending Canadian release, they don't have anything to RMA to you. :)

thats what they are saying...everything from last week is shipping today at the latest... if it goes out today and u have 2 day air/express/whatever, then why the 5-7 day "cover"...
I'm usually a very patient person as I used to work customer service and all that so I can relate, but it irks me when they say something but its not followed thru. If they're late, then tell me they're late- bad news first... not "its going out today, and even though u ordered 2 day express, it could be 5-7..." - that leads me to believe that they really arent going out today if they only need 2 days for shipping.

Are we mainly talking about guitars? I had to get a replacement ordered last night.
I'm curious about how many drum returns are occurring. I feel like I'm experiencing a delay/no register of notes..sometimes. Other times it's fine. I can't decide if something is wrong (I've done calibration) or I just suck sometimes.
Are many of you sending back drums?

drums...they told me 3-5 days... same story- goes out today... 2 day express... 3-5 days
I did RMA on guitar and drums.

drums- rma 11/26- website express.

Does a broken whammy bar count as a candidate for replacement? If this is true, I'll be sending my strat back for sure.
We'll see soon. According to my UPS tracking, "billing info received" has now passed, the package is now "in transit" and has rescheduled delivery of 11-29.

Only thing that really annoys me is that they are shifting the blame for why the replacements are taking so long to get shipped out. On the 22nd I went online ordered up my replacement and have been waiting since. On the 25th(a sunday no less so the order didn't get processed til the day after)I ordered some anime from TRSI and it's been shipped(on the 26th)with a scheduled(and on time)delivery of tomorrow, standard UPS shipping at that.
UPS being behind because of Christmas my ass.

Maybe you just live farther away from the depot then the person who recieved it before you did. I work in a wear house also. If it has to make a few stops along the way yours will take longer. It's not like HMX has it's own truck delivering these perifials. They are going through UPS. So your may have been processed and shipped to UPS before hand but if the other person lives closer then you do it may take a while longer for you to get it.

well i ordered mine 11/20 at 8pm eastern time once i saw that the packaging was for the wrong system! Its not like i broke mine, EA just completley ****ed up.

I have both of you beat- I ordered 11/20 at 9:50 AM eastern time. No indication that mine has shipped yet.

I'd be upset for sure, but its not like the equipment you have just doesn't work at all, right. I personally had purchased Guitar Hero III and decided to trade that in and get Rock Band, but just got the game because I already had the Guitar from Guitar Hero III, so the equipment issue doesn't effect me. I use the xbox head set for singing and will probably purchase the drums in Feb. when thats available separate from the rest. Damn drums will cost $80 though!

Dude, I REALLY don't want to pile on, but EA support is a big pile of s***. I am actually currently on the phone on hold no less, and all I've gotten out of them so far is: "Don't worry, you're being taken care of." I've been looking at UPS daily for an update, with no results. My friend who submitted his request the DAY AFTER mine has ALREADY received his F****** replacement on MONDAY no less, and I'm still here guitarless and sad and angry.
Anyone who says I should chill needs to realize that I basically have an $80 paperweight and no replacement most likely until next week.
Sorry, needed to vent after talking with EA support guy, who was about as useless as could be. Gave me no confidence in the prospect of my replacement being sent out.

What version 360 or PS3? I talked to a customer service rep and they told me PS3 versions are delayed to 5-7 days.
