The only way that I've been able to communicate w/ my band so far is through the private chat system. Have other been able to do this in the game channel? If so how did you do this?

I had my Les Paul w/ headset in as did one of the guys I was playing w/ and we couldn't hear each other until we moved to a private chat. And we couldn't get any chat to work when we plugged the mic into the drums.

Was the adapter cord plugged all the way in on both the headset and drums/guitar? They are a tight fit, at first, and may need to be pushed in a little more. Have you tried chatting with friends you have invited to the game?

Yeah I had it plugged in as tight as it could go. I know what you mean about being tight cuz it went further after I gave it a little more force.

I did try talking to people I invited. I invited my friend and his guest and we were unable to hear each other until we moved to a private chat channel.

Very strange, I'm not sure what else was different between yours not working and mine working. Have you tried inviting a friend without a guest? I don't remember being able to communicate with the last person who had a guest with them.

I'll try that tonight. That may actually be it, because when you have a guest I think it puts you in your own 'private chat'. Usually on Halo 3 when you play a social match w/ somebody having guests you'll seel the little 'chat bubble' next to their name that means they are in private. I bet thats it.
