O.K. I purchased Rockband 1 special edition and now I think I made a mistake. I have heard different answers to each of the following questions so I am coming to the source (I hope.) can you please help me?:confused::confused::confused:

This is for the Wii

Can you play RB2 music on RB instruments?
Can you mix and match RB and RB2 instruments?
Can you only download songs for RB2? Why?
For song download playing do you need the software, or the instruments, or both?

Can you play Guitar Hero songs with RB instruments?
Can you play Guitar Hero Songs with RB2 Instruments?

*Yes. The RB1 software did not have that capability, and patching is not allowed for Wii games.
*To play DLC, you need the RB2 software, an internet connection to purchase the songs, and RB1 or RB2 instruments to play the game.

-Yes, even GH instruments.

-Yes, because HMX didn't give a crap on RB1 Wii.

-Both. And internet to download them of course.
Can you play Guitar Hero songs with RB instruments?
-No
Can you play Guitar Hero Songs with RB2 Instruments?
-No


However, you can play Rock Band 2 with GH instruments (but NOT RB1)
