I've been trying to link my game data since last sunday, and it doesn't work at all. I searched through the forums, I tried many ways, nothing is working.

I tried:

-Without Wii ID
-With Wii ID
-With spaces
-Without spaces
-Lower Cases
-Caps
-I've checked my numbers at least 5 times.

I'm 100% sure I've got the good Wii code (by going in the adress book, I checked five times) and the good webcode (again, I checked five times.) Rockband 2 is connected to the rock central. (I did the trick of changing clothes on a character then go back so it uploads to the rock center, to be sure I'm connected, and it worked. I downloaded all the free songs and bought two songs without any problems, I did some random online band quickplays with people. All of this perfectly.

I JUST CAN'T LINK FOR THE LIFE OF ME! O_O

Help please D:

I had problems entering my code until what I thought was "tt" was actually "ii" or something similar. Has worked great ever since. The website page is awesome.

For what it's worth: the decoder ring (http://www.rockband.com/decoder). The characters can be ambiguous.

Yeah I saw that. But I checked every letters and numbers several times. Besides, the font isn't even the same for the webcode... Why? O_o

I can't link either, I double checked my wii code and the code supplied by rockband2, it says my code does not have any rock band information. what does that mean?

Glad to hear I am not alone in this.. I am having zero luck myself, tried everything. I know I am connected, taken part in battle, downloaded songs, name is on the leaderboards and stuff.. but I can't get the Webcode to work on the site..

Make sure you look closely at what the code is. Also, make sure your rockband is new, not used. If it was used, it could have already been put in the website.

I don't see why a used game would have a problem, since the game data is saved on the Wii, not the disc.

I don't have one; just saying, for those who are concerned.

I posted in another thread. The manual instructs that we forward to ports 80,443,13505 (TCP) and 3658 (UDP) for users behind a firewall or router. To the people who have got through, did you have to forward these ports on your router?

As WII fan we are continuously getting ripped or the short end of the stick we need to all join together and put a stop to us getting ripped...........

Whoa!!!

I just logged in to my mapwii.com account where I have RB2 listed as one of my games. That site won't accept my webcode either. This is a question for anyone with RB2....how many digits are supposed to be in the webcode??? The webcode my RB2 game gives me is a 10-digit-code but on mapwii.com it is asking for a 12-digit-code.

Can anyone please tell me if it is supposed to be 10 or 12 digits...or does it even matter???

You're putting the wrong code into mapwii.com. You need to put your friend code in, not the webcode.

There are two different codes within Rock Band 2 a "webcode" and a "friend code".

The webcode is used to link your account to the Rock Band website. It's a 10 digit code and you can find it in the "Extras" "Get Webcode" menu within Rock Band 2.

The friend code is used to play with other people over the Internet. It's a 12 digit code that can be found in the "Extras" "Manage Friends" menu within Rock Band 2.

We've been linked to the website and using the online play since we got RB2 about a month ago with no problems.

This was in another forum post so maybe it will help.
Now, if you weren’t successful, you might have gotten the error which says that this account has no Rock Band data associated with it. Make Sure that you copied down your Webcode correctly. Try going into Rock Band 2, if you can select “Get Webcode” from the extras menu, then you are connected to Rock Central. Next, change one of your character’s clothes in the Rock Shop. After leaving the Shop, you should see a message that says “Saving…” This save should have connected you to our database and you’ll have characters on our site. It may take up to a few hours for your data to be linkable, but hang in there, it is worth the wait!

Other things to try:
- If your Console ID begins with a zero, try dropping the zero when entering it into the website.

- As last resort, try leaving out the Console ID altogether and just submitting your Webcode.

That's what I was thinking but I'm so aggravated over trying to link my Wii to rockband.com I haven't even looked my friend code.

Thanks though, that was the answer I was looking for.

We're having some issues with Wii database replication. Any new data made in the past week or so hasn't gotten through, we're working on it, hold tight, you'll be able to link soon.

I hear ya Zyaiah...but I know so many people who've gotten the red ring of death on their xbox 360's I won't even consider it. PS3 is still way too pricey. And if you look around these forums it ain't just the Wii's that are having problems.

And trust me...I'm still aggravated over the linking issue.

Get your Webcode:
Load up Rock Band 2.
On the Main Menu go to “Extras”
Select “Get Webcode” (can take up to 10 seconds for this option to become available)
Double check to make sure you’ve written it down correctly.

The Wii ID in question is not the MAC address. It is a little tricky to find. Turn on your wii, go to the message board (the envelope icon in the lower right corner), from there hit the Create Message button in the left corner, next to the calender, this should pop up three large buttons. Go to the Address Book, and it should present you with a sixteen digit Wii Number. Hope that helps!

ok, i got mine to work the third time round.

you need the Wii friends code and the web code

Friends code:
1) go to Wii Menu
2)click on mail channel at the bottom right-hand corner
3)click on the Envelope next to the calender in the bottom LEFT-hand corner.
4) choose far right option: address book.
5) it should display a code, a 4 part code and each part has four characters. type this giant number into the Wii Code box (upperbox) on the RB.com/Wii link up place/thingy

part 2: web code
1)start rockband 2 on the Disk Channel
2) press + when told to
3) go down and select extras
4) wait for the system to conect to RB Central and then choose GET WEBCODE
5) it gives you a 10 digit code and instructions on what to do

i just followed the RB.com info and the game info and got it after i figured out there are no need for spaces when entering

hope it helps,
Axel

same problem here, i´ve been reading all the treads here about this issue, and i check every kind of solution sugested but i got nothing yet

i have the right numbers and webcode, i tried every kind of combination for the wii code, and the webcode of RB2 has no weird characters like o, O, 0

i have my router correctly forwarded in the ports that the manual indicates

i have a working copy of the game, with several hours of game, and i was able to play score duel perfectly and my scores are in the leaderboards

and i cant link the game to the rb.com acount =(

i just want to hear that the people of hmx knowns this problem and its working on it

Like I said in the other thread about this, there are too many instances of this happening for it to be our systems. HMX really needs to make an official announcement regarding this issue and sticky it in the tech threads.

IIRC, they kind of did acknowledge that there is a problem with the servers pertaining to the Wii.

Acknowledging it's been happening more and more is not what I'm looking for from HMX, I want a solution... And I want to know when they can fix it. It worked before at launch, it should work now. My game stopped posting about a week before DLC finally dropped. At least the in-game leaderboards are workin'... As far as I know.
