Where to get Rock Band?

Anyone have any idea as to where I can purchase Rock Band? Tried Amazon.com, a few days ago I could preorder it, with shipping the 5th of dec, but now I can only buy these "used & new" kits at 290 usd +!!

Tried best-buy.com too, also sold out.

Until after the new year you are just going to have to be lucky, I think. I'm sure some places will get some shipments in weekly between now and christmas, but with the Canadian launch in about 3 weeks I'm sure they're going to be pushing most of the production to that goal for now. If you have a 360 and either GH2 or 3 you can get the stand alone game at most retailers, and use your existing controller. Best Buy sells the microphone standalone as well (it's made by Logitech).

Unless you just happen into it, I doubt you'll see many of the SE bundles until after the holidays. You can check with your local GameStop if you have one as well, but most of them were selling out of it rather quickly as well. If you check Best Buy, Target or Wal-Mart you'll want to check them on days they have flyers in the newspapers, as if they put it in the flyer they have to have a set number of them guarenteed... so even if they get some in before the flyer date they won't put them out.

Im screwed even if i did place a preorder. I placed mine at the rockband store and it is still not in stock. Is there any of you still awating thier Rockband bundle from the RB store? I emailed them a few times during the last week but have yet to get a reply. This sucks but theres nothing I can do about it. At least I would have liked a confirmation on the status of my order regarding when they will at least think to be getting more stock. Anyways I envy all of you that are having a blast while I watch the intro video over and over again lol.

kmart.com didn't have it, and I prefer ebay to craigslist. EBGames says they are shipping the 1st of february 2008(!!)

I found a ps3 bundle and like 10 360 bundles at walmart on black friday in the afternoon, i guess nobody wanted them. I've seen 360 bundles in almost every store but this was the first time i'd seen the ps3 box

Are all you people handicaped?
I buy virtually everything online. The UPS man and I are on first name basis.
When it comes to buying games that I want I never even consider buying it on line.
A Walmart I went to in the burbs had tons of these late friday afternoon.
The 2 best buys where I lived in NYC have dozens.

1) You get the game instantly and don't have to wait an infuriating week for it to arrive.
2) You don't pay for shipping.
3) Certain games (like this one) sell out online much faster than they sell out in brick and mortar stores.

Yeah, never would have thought to go there right? Well, neither did anybody else. I got my the day after launch there. Try anywhere that people rarely shop for games but has them and is a sufficiently large chain. Heck, around me people rarely shop at K-mart in general with Target and Walmart around.

I went to bestbuy on black friday and they had a mountain of them. i went the next day, all of them were gone....

yeah, eb is completely unreliable, and target never got them to begin with. I go home from school on the 18th, and plan on immediately hunting for the game. i live pretty close to nyc, some store (like j&l in chinatown) is bound to have it.

Well, thing is, I'm in Norway ;)

So I've decided to get an NTSC Xbox 360 and Rock Band from the US. The Europe-release is due in february sometime, if there are no more delays... Hell if I'll wait three months. I thought GH3 would keep my addiction in check but it just doesn't work, I need RB, and I need it now! :D

On a sidenote: I'm not ******ed so I'm not getting a PS3.

We actually found ours at Target this past Saturday morning. We went late on Black Friday, and both Target and Best Buy had several XBox versions left, but no PS3 versions. We called around to Walmart, K-Mart, Sam's Club, Toys-R-Us and EB Games to be told that they all either had no PS3 versions or none at all.

The next day, we went to a different Best Buy, which had 6 XBox versions but no PS3, and then to the Target next door, which had 10 XBox versions, and a lone PS3 version, which we promptly grabbed. :)

Kmart? Really? Heh...

I got my Rock Band at Kmart last week. There was a 20% off coupon for any single item floating around and I was able to get the manager to let me use that for the Rock Band bundle. Saved a good amount but too bad my guitar strum bar gave out after 3 days.
