World Tour w/ online MP?

I must admit, learning that there was no online multiplayer supported in the World Tour mode was surprising and disappointing. I guess I should have done more research before buying the game.

Has there been any official word anywhere from Harmonix about adding this feature via a patch or the next release of RB?

Sorry, I looked for similar posts but didnt find anything recent. there are like three similar threads, sorry I have no link, but suffice it to say that they were planning on patching it in, but now they've found that it's too difficult and they're saying no online BWT.
