All i ask work better on the drums.
The set up i seen from video look like the drums are set backwards for the hithat and snare. I dont know who told them that the snare is on the far left and the hi hat is inbetween the toms and snare. that going to make it really hard to real life drummers. and what if the there is a left handed drummer? how the hell will they play or an opened hand drummer?
what would be a good idea is have it where you can set where drum you want where. as in you can set the snare where you want and hit hats and toms.. etc.. that why any drummer can play with ease. (all in game of course)
2) also the support of other drum sets. from what i seend in video drums dont look movable. and to be able to use eletric drum set via usb would be a Big plus.
Come on drummers speak up!!

What's funny is that you think they just threw the drums together, as if they had no knowledge of music. It's Harmonix. They know more about music than you can ever hope to. I have all the faith in the world in them that the drum kit will be great, and the mechanics behind using them equally great. Calm the f down.

i dont doubt they know what they are doing. he said him self hes a drummer... bu what if it designed to the way he plays? every drummer plays there own way there own set up what if a left handed drummer tried this would be very hard.. im just trying too look out for all the hardcore drummers out there :) and btw.. i am calm :)

yea thats what i saw. but (IMO) the placement where snare and hihat and toms or cymbals could be switched around. exsample
(snare)(hihat)(tom) (cymbals) how they have it showed
^^top view of the set^^ (from left to right)
but whats would be great to move them around
as in
(hihat)(snare)(tom) (cymbals) or
(cymbals)(tom)(snare)(hihat) for left handed players
and putting snare and hihat on same pad.. if thats true that will be bad lol those are the most played parts of the drums shuold be on 2 different pads... but hey nothing offical yet. so i can only hope

I;m no drummer(though I do beats electronically) but I could go for a double bass pedal setup even if it's an extra add on.

There is an official sticky thread about this where a lot of real drummers have already brought up their concerns about the arrangement of the hi-hat and and the snare... Short answer!
Q) So why is it like that?
A) Because the pads are all on the same level, there's no height difference making it really hard to cross over your arms.
Q) So why don't they make it at different heights?
A) It would make it harder to ship, increase the cost, and decrease the stability.

Add MIDI kit support and solve this problem for the real drummers easily.

I see some of your concerns, and I know what you are saying and they are certainly valid. There is only so much you can do with a game version of drums however, but that is no excuse. I assume at least to solve one of your concerns there will most likely be , similar to the guitar a lefty switch of sorts to compensate for lefty drummers.

not all drummers play cross handed.. what about opened handed drummers? that play left hand on hit hat and right on snare?

And Harmonix, while you're listening to the requests of the highly intelligent <hahaha> drummers, why don't you also add 5 more strummers to the guitars. Hell, the guitar I play on has 12 strings, so can you please add 11? Oh wait, now I remember, its a GAME.
There's a reason drummers are stereotyped as dullards. This thread is more proof.

Lol man i didnt expect so many people ranting at me lol... btw i am not asking for more drums pedels or pads just able to customize more. i wouldnt care if the drums them selfs were soild and could not move. i jsut ask is a in game setup where you can pick what drum go where. and not stuck in a right hand only or left only but open handed as well

Deal with it? It's a game that has to appeal to the masses. Like I said, making the drums customisable adds costs and makes it less durable, they're not going to do that if it only effect 0.005% of the potential players.

the pad them self dont have to be moving like i said a few post above. i am talking about in game.. as you can pick which which pad will be which drum... do see how that would cost them any money at all..

Lefty Flip? That way you would hit the hi-hat with your left arm and snare with your right without having to cross over.... Unfortunately the ride and tom would be to your left though...

In one of the other threads (do a search for lefty flip) this was discussed (I made a bit of a flippant comment - oops) and one user said that the pads would be configurable in the RB menus so that you could assign whatever pad to each drum function.
The colours of the pads would however stay fixed (unless it comes with removeable rims)
I don't know where this information came from or it's accuracy. If it bothered you that much you could always 'rewire' the pads?
I think left handed drummers just rotate the whole thing 180 degrees :D okay i'm kidding.

Wouldn't that preclude drummers from posting in this thread?
