I submitted a request for a new guitar, out of the box it wouldn't even turn on. On 11/23/07 at 11AM, I made my request and nothing has been updated on the site. It just says New RMA. Is there a tracking number that I am missing? I also sent a complaint letter to EA thru their online service and surprisingly enough, I have not heard a thing from them and its been a few days. Seems pretty lame to me.

I had the same problem, the ea site only said new RMA for a few days, so I called ea support and they gave me my UPS tracking number. They still haven't updated my ea question(it still says new RMA), and UPS only says billing information recieved, but at least I have the number now. I think calling support directly would be your best bet.

EA told me all request from the last 2 weeks where going out today.... but don't hold your breath

im surprised they didnt contact you back. I wrote a long letter to them summing up everyones problemsa nd asking for an answer. I got back a response within 2 hours and 15 minutes. i was very satisfied

Thats odd, I did write them on Black Friday and I assumed they would be closed, but I would think i should have heard something back by now, being wednesday.

yea, i wrote them last night at 12 EST and got a response back to my email with a timestamp of 12:15 PST not bad at all

Yeah, I even got the confirmation that stated they would respond to my question within 24 hours. With it being black friday and the weekend i figured i would have something by monday. What did they reply with something personal or an automated response?

I too submitted my request for an RMA on my Strat (this past Sunday). I've had the UPS tracking number since the RMA was submitted, but to-date - it still says "Billing Information Received" - no update.
I sent a seperate request into EA today (via their on-line support tool), and promptly received a personalized response (within 2 hours). Their response included a statement that my request had already been processed - which is somewhat curious since UPS shows no update. I have sent follow-up to EA, to ask for clarification as to what "my request already being fulfilled means". More importantly, I simply asked them - "when do you envision my new Strat being delivered?"
Will post with meaningful updates (assuming I get any) ;)

Well, it was provided to me via the automated system I used to submit my RMA request. The on-line tool at http://support.ea.com/rockband spit-it out at the end of my RMA request. So I just took a screenshot of the RMA number.
If I hadn't taken the screenshot, I would not know where else to find it.
I don't know what the experience is like for those who call-in to speak with support about an RMA. I would think that support would tell you the RMA number (as part of their process).

Damn, therein lies the problem, I assumed they would have sent the tracking number in an email and I probably closed the page like a doosh. Oh well, Ill try to call them after work.

if you go to support.ea.com/rockband, on the left, click questions, sign in and click questions again and your status should be there for your order although they havent been updating. but there you will find a reference number and you can call ea with that number to get your trackin number. That is a reference number from their site though so make sure they know that, its not an RMA number

i just got off the phone with UPS, they said that all they have on my replacement pedal is that they recieved billin info but she said if it did go out this morning like EA says, then it will not be in their system until tonight or tomorrow for sure. Lets just hope they are right.

Wow, I just now got a reply from EA about the complaint letter i sent. Basically all they replied with was use our online service to get a new guitar. Had they read my complaint they would have seen I have already done that. Pretty pathetic customer service. Im glad some of you are having better luck tho.

Please let's take a second here and cool down. I to have been having problems with my guitar and on 11/23 put in for a replacement. I got a UPS number immediately and a RMA number. Now if it take a little more than 2 days so be it. I'm more pissed at GH3. I pre-ordered mine and got it the day it came out only to be crushed when the fret buttons would not register. It took them two weeks just to reply to my request for a replacement guitar. Then I had to pay for the shipping. Then, over a week later I get an e-mail saying they received the thing. Now it will take them another 2-3 weeks to get to it and test it. I'm hoping to get it back in January after I bought the stupid thing in October. So, I will wait a few days to get my free replacement and free ship the defective one back. I am satisfied with EA and their support team. Just wish I could say the same thing for Red Octane.

Did you pre-order GH3 from the company directly or a store like Best Buy or Circuit City? If it was one of those, couldn't you return it to them and exchange it or was there a stupid pink piece of paper in GH3 as well.
